FAQs
Students are free to choose any method for their presentation that best explains their project to the fullest extent. This can include conducting a power point presentation, speaking from a poster, performing a song or skit, and/or bringing in actual pieces of the student’s work (i.e. painting, sculptures, models, etc.). Use your imagination and be creative!
Awards will be processed and applied to your student account as a scholarship. Given that all fees, holds, etc. have been paid from your student account, the scholarship will show as a credit. From there a check will be issued and dispersed to you.
Yes – all students are eligible to apply to participate in the Innovation Showcase. If selected, you may choose to travel (at your own expense) to the main campus in Moscow, or contact the Innovation Showcase Coordinator to seek accommodation to submit a video entry to participate in the Innovation Showcase.
Video entries may only be submitted by students not attending the Moscow campus. Videos are limited to 15-20 minutes in total duration, and will need to be submitted at least one day prior to the Innovation Showcase event date. Video entries will be judged with the same score sheeting as the in-person entries, and both in-person and video entries will be scored together. If a video entry places in the competition, the winning student will be notified via email, and the achievement certificate will be mailed to the student.
Please submit all information to the Innovation Showcase Coordinator via the online student registration form found in the left-hand panel on this webpage.
The abstract submitted with your registration is all that is needed for pre-screening presentation entries. Ensure that you have completed your registration before the deadline to be considered for the competition. You will receive an acceptance letter via email if your presentation is selected for the Showcase.
Presentations are selected by a team made up of College of Graduate Studies staff and administration.
