Holds & Errors

Registration Holds and Errors

HOLDS are placed on student's accounts by various offices and can affect a student's ability to register for classes or even change a current schedule. Below is a list of holds that will affect registration ability and office information to contact about the hold. Holds must be removed from the account in order for registration to be allowed.

REGISTRATION ERRORS occur when registration is attempted in a specific class and a requirement for enrollment is not met. Most registration errors can be granted registration overrides in MyUI by the instructor or offering department, if they agree to grant special permission to the student to by-pass the requirement.
